I visit a few messageboards and most of the time there is bullshit being rambled. Today I was shocked and amazed by how a certain messageboard is filled with people trying to help out someone they don't know.

There is a girl homeless over an awful situation and just about everyone has come together to

1) buy her a bus ticket
2) buy her minutes to use the phone card
3) raise money for someone to pick her up, get a hotel room, and get her some food
4) and are currently trying to send care packages for this girl to the house she will be staying at

I have said a lot of crap about JJB in the past, but damn if I will again.

It also makes me sad because she is from a 276 area code, and yeah. I wish I would have known sooner because I would have found someway to get her to safety.

So today I attended the swearing in of Gov. Timothy M. Kaine's Cabinet. Why was I there? Well my aunt is Viola O. Baskerville who just became Virginia's secretary of administration. Nice huh? And who did I bump into? Secretary of Education (and former EHC President) Thomas R. Morris himself and his lovely wife. I chatted with Mrs. Morris for a while, took some pictures with them, and was somehow tricked into writing an article foe the Alumni Magazine. Now I am not an alumni and did they care when I mentioned this? Nope. So look out for that EHC peeps. Oh and Tim Kaine is a nice guy too.

Off to take a nap now.

MySpace.com and Interscope Records have announced plans to launch a new label, MySpace Records.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the label will be wholly owned by MySpace.com and Interscope will lend support for larger artist campaigns. MySpace.com's parent company, Intermix Media Inc., was purchased for $580 million dollars in July by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.

My Space President Tom Anderson will oversee the label and choose and market all of its acts. Interscope will get the music in the stores and also retain the right to contribute in marketing an act from the ground up, or can upstream independently distributed MySpace acts.

The new label's first signing is MySpace user favorites, Hollywood Undead, a band that Anderson identified via feedback on the popular social networking and music site. MySpace will rely on feedback from its 36 million users when seeking to identify undiscovered talent.

The first record from the new label, MySpace Records Volume 1, will be on the shelves November 15.

So I am down Shockoe Bottom w/ my brother having dinner and hanging before I head to NYC tomorrow. We start to cross the street to go to Richmond Haunts (which is really fun by the way!) and who do we bump into? Jared Leto! How fucking random is that?! (I guess not too random now that I think about it. Alley Katz is right across the street from Richmond Haunts, but I digress). I heard he was in town, but I wasn't expecting to actually bump into him and his boys.

He is very pretty too. Mmmmm. Oh Jared. Anyways. Off to NYC. If you are in town give me a buzz. 804 687 4661.

So "The Full Monty" closes tomorrow. I can't beleive I survived summer stock in the middle of nowhere NY. It was fun though and I made great friends. The next big step? NYC. I move there in two weeks I am am so ready to just move on.

Things have been going well for me here in New Lebanon. We are about to put up Songs for a New World. Seems like it will be a great show. I am meeting some really cool people. Last night one of my housemates invited 2 friends to see the show and it just so happened to be one of the leads in Avenue Q and the lead understudy in Spelling Bree. It was really random but they are cool guys. We talked a lot about theater and the city and it just got my head spinning because lately I have been thinking of moving to nyc for a little while now. So I have come to the conclusion that I need to just bite the bullet and move to the city. It is a big step I know, but two of the girls here and I have been seriously talking finding a place together and just doing it. Who knows though. It is me and I do change my mind but this is what's going on with me. hmm. But for now I just need to get myself ready for the big 3 musicals that are about to start - songs, lucky stuff, and full monty. hopefully they will turn out well and i'll be home or wherever in september.

Still in NY doing the theater thing. Things have been busy, but I am enjoying it and learning so much. It is July already which means school is just around the corner. I can't beleive everyone is graduating this year...
